The “Hets” page, I was contemplating wether to put together this page but given the bullshit with Brian Barczyk and Evan Cipta and the other GIANT EGO'S in this hobby I thought better to get all my FACTS into print.
Heterozygous or as many write it “Hets” means I produced “normal” looking babies but that carry the genes for something very special. So, the babies are able to produce the traits of the parents when bred to each other, to the parent or to an unrelated lizard that also carries the same genetic makeup or part of.
To date I have produced what I like to call the building blocks for future beauty in the form of Black Dragon x Coral Glow Albino hatched on Aug 15th, 2020 nine babies in total for a 100% hatch rate. Five of these babies Mr Harvey Lee & Fahmi one of the partners of NLI Project purchased from me and I held back the rest. NLI Project who is now "partnered" with the same Evan Cipta who shit all over my work.
I believe when these "hets" are bred to another Black Dragon for instance we believe all Black Dragons will be produced however resulting babies will still carry the genetics for albinisim but I assume in a lesser percentage, I am probably wrong and if you cannot tell I am not a genetic expert. If bred to an albino we expect the same results but in albino. But nobody having done this to the fullness, we might expect some surprises as well, one never knows.
So, pairings I have used to make “Hets” or “Double hets” are as I mention above Black Dragon x Coral Glow Albino, Black Dragon x (Marbled) Madura, currently two more clutches from this pairing are cooking. Finally what I think is the most exciting, T negative albino x (Marbled) Madura. I produced ten of these amazing crosses, with one going to my friend Junsuke in Japan. The rest are staying here at Zilla Villa, imagine the wide big banding of the Madura with the T negative coloration, I really think that will be very very beautiful if I am successful.
I am very happy & proud to report since I got back into breeding Varanids in 2018 I have produced 86 (various) forms of Albino V. salvators and that includes the worlds first "Super form" or as I called them Snow-Blind, for a total of 23 heads to date. 54 "normal" HETS (various) forms have been produced as well for a total of 143 CB Biawak. Some VERY exciting pairings are taking place now so I am hopeful to produce some more high quality biawak
